How this tool works

The browser decodes your image and writes it in the selected target format. Conversion changes the container; it does not recover detail removed by an earlier lossy format.

Example

Convert a JPG to WebP for a smaller web-friendly file, or a PNG to JPG when a white background is acceptable.

Image tools FAQ

Are my images uploaded to Rabetly?

No. These image tools process selected images locally in your browser and do not send image contents or metadata to Rabetly.

What happens to transparent pixels when converting to JPG?

JPG does not support transparency, so transparent pixels are composited on a white background.

Which image formats are supported?

JPEG, PNG, WebP, and GIF can use browser decoding. The HEIC to JPG page also loads a decoder locally for HEIC and HEIF files.
