Private developer and technical tools

Base64 Encode

Paste any text and the encoder converts it to Base64 in one click, ready to copy or download. It encodes the text as UTF-8 first, so Arabic letters, diacritics and emoji come back exactly when the value is decoded, and the work happens in your browser without uploading anything.

Your input stays in this browser. Rabetly does not receive or store code, tokens, headers, or technical data.

When to Base64 encode text

  • A developer building an HTTP Basic Authorization header from a username:password pair.
  • An engineer putting a short config value or certificate text into a Kubernetes secret or an environment variable.
  • A developer embedding Arabic text in a JSON payload or a data URL without worrying about character encoding.
  • A tester preparing encoded input to check that an API decodes Arabic and emoji correctly.

How this tool works

The transformation runs locally in your browser. Entered values are not sent to Rabetly, put in the URL, or added to analytics.

Base64 Encode: frequently asked questions

Does Base64 encoding work with Arabic text?

Yes. The text is converted to UTF-8 bytes before encoding, so Arabic letters, diacritics and emoji are preserved, and any decoder that reads UTF-8, including the Base64 Decode tool, returns the original text.

Is Base64 a form of encryption?

No. Base64 is an encoding that anyone can reverse without a key, so it does not protect passwords or secrets. Use it to carry data through text-only systems, not to hide it.

Does the encoder produce URL-safe Base64?

No. It outputs standard Base64 with the + and / characters and = padding. For a URL-safe value, replace + with -, / with _ and remove the trailing = signs, or percent-encode the result before putting it in a URL.

Can I encode an image or file to Base64?

No. This tool encodes text that you type or paste, up to 200,000 characters per run. Expect the Base64 output to be about a third longer than the UTF-8 size of the input.
